Ingrid Silva (she/her)
Ingrid Silva, born in Rio de Janeiro, began ballet training when she was 8 through Dançando Para Não Dançar. She later earned scholarships at Escola de Dança Maria Olenewa and Centro de Movimento Debora Colker. At 17, she apprenticed with Grupo Corpo before moving to New York City for the Dance Theatre of Harlem Summer Program on a full scholarship. She joined the professional company in 2013. Silva has performed globally, danced principal roles in renowned ballets and founded podHER and Blacks in Ballet. Her work has been featured in Vogue and The New York Times, and she is the first Brazilian to star in a major global campaign for Dior. @ingridsilva
Jonathan Batista (he/they)
Jonathan Batista, principal dancer at Pacific Northwest Ballet, honed his craft at prestigious institutions including the English National Ballet and The Royal Ballet School. As the first Black principal dancer in Pacific Northwest Ballet’s history, he’s garnered international acclaim, inspiring audiences with his exceptional talent. @JonathanBatistaOfficial
Nayara Lopes (she/her)
Nayara Lopes, born in Curitiba, Brazil, began dancing at age 6. She trained at the School of Theatre Dance Guaira in Brazil and later at the American Ballet Theatre Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School in New York. Lopes competed in ballet competitions including Youth American Grand Prix finals in New York, winning the Mary Day Special Award, and regionals in Columbia, SC, where she was the 2011 Grand Prix winner. Lopes joined Philadelphia Ballet in 2016, rising to principal dancer in 2021. Prior to Philadelphia Ballet, she danced with Orlando Ballet, National Ballet of Canada and Dance Theatre of Harlem. @nayaramlopes
Dylan Santos (he/him)
Dylan Santos is originally from Bahia, Brazil. He started dancing at the age of 11 at the Municipal de Bailados in São Paulo. Just a year later, he began his professional ballet training at Centro de Artes Pavilhão D. At 16,he was one of Brazil’s most promising dancers, which led him to compete in the Youth American Grand Prix. There he was a finalist and awarded scholarships to study ballet in the United States. In 2013 he joined the Dance Theatre of Harlem, under the direction of Virginia Johson. He’s participated in collaborations with Joffrey Ballet, New York City Ballet, Houston Ballet, Ballet Chicago, Pittsburgh Ballet Theater and Paris Opera Ballet. @dyldylsantos

Pontus Lidberg (he/him)
Choreographer, filmmaker and 2019 John Simon Guggenheim Fellowship recipient Pontus Lidberg is renowned for merging dance and film. His stage choreography spans renowned companies worldwide, including Paris Opera Ballet, New York City Ballet and Martha Graham Dance Company, as well as his experimental group, Pontus Lidberg Dance. His works have graced prestigious festivals like La Biennale di Venezia and been lauded with awards such as the Villanueva Award for Siren in Cuba. Lidberg’s films, including The Rain and Labyrinth Within, have received critical acclaim and numerous awards. Raised in Stockholm, Lidberg holds an MFA from the University of Gothenburg and was artistic director of Danish Dance Theatre from 2018 to 2022. @pontuskarljohan

Chalvar Monteiro (he/him)
Chalvar Monteiro, a native of Montclair, NJ, is currently a New York-based choreographer, teacher and performer with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. He earned a BFA from SUNY Purchase and has since worked with Sidra Bell Dance New York, Elisa Monte Dance, Keigwin+Company, BODYTRAFFIC, GALLIM, A.I.M by Kyle Abraham, Ailey II and the Merce Cunningham Trust. He assisted Abraham in setting and creating work for Barnard College, Princeton University, Emory University, NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and New York City Ballet. Monteiro joined the faculty at Tisch School of the Arts in 2020 and his choreography has been presented as part of Ailey’s 2021 Virtual Spirit Gala, Lincoln Center’s Summer for the City and more. @chlvrmntro
Patrick Coker (he/him)
Patrick Coker was awarded the American Ballet Theatre’s National Trainee Scholarship from 2008 to 2010. In 2014, Coker graduated from the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program in Dance, where he apprenticed with Ailey II in his final year. After graduation, he spent a year dancing for Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet, going on to join Jessica Lang Dance. He has also performed with The Mark Morris Dance Group, il Penseroso ed il Moderato, Earl Mosley’s Diversity of Dance, HopeBoykinDance and LA-based BODYTRAFFIC. Shawn Cusseaux (he/him)
Shawn Cusseaux began training at Pinellas County Center for the Arts at Gibbs High School in Florida, focusing on ballet, modern and jazz. He earned his BFA in Modern Dance from Point Park University in 2020 under Garfield Lemonius. Joining BalletX, he danced for three seasons, performing at the Vail Dance Festival and Ballet Sun Valley. Cusseaux has performed works by Jae Man Joo, José Limón, Camille A. Brown, Jamar Roberts and others. He joined the Ailey company in 2023. @shawn.cusseaux
Ashley Kaylynn Green (she/her)
Ashley Kaylynn Green began her training at Columbia City Jazz where she found her love for dance. She trained in a variety of styles including ballet, modern, jazz, tap and hip-hop. In 2020, Green received her BFA in Dance from Point Park University in Pittsburgh under the direction of Garfield Lemonius. After graduation, she joined Whim W’Him Seattle Contemporary Dance where she received a Princess Grace Award in Dance. Green joined the Ailey company in 2021 and that year was named one of “25 to Watch” by Dance Magazine. @awagreen98
Jacquelin Harris (she/her)
Jacquelin Harris began her dance training at Dance Productions Studios under the direction of Lori Long. She graduated with honors from the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program in Dance. In 2016, Harris was named one of “25 to Watch” by Dance Magazine. She received a 2017 dance fellowship from the Princess Grace Foundation-USA. Harris has guested with the Merce Cunningham Trust as well as with Twyla Tharp. She was a member of Ailey II and is currently a member of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. @jacquelinh
Hannah Alissa Richardson (she/her)
Hannah graduated with honors from The Ailey School. She is a member of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and has been a featured dancer in festivals including Jacob’s Pillow, the Holland Dance Festival and the world premiere of “Grace and Mercy,” choreographed by Ronald K. Phil Reno, accompanist (he/him)
Reno has served as music director/conductor for Broadway productions including Cats, The Drowsy Chaperone; Elf; Promises, Promises; The Producers and Something Rotten!. He conducted the Radio City Christmas Spectacular for six seasons. Off-Broadway, he worked on Chess, The Diva is Dismissed and A New Brain. Reno’s national tours include Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat with Donny Osmond, Starlight Express and Sweet Charity. His TV credits include Broadway Under the Stars on CBS and the CBS Tree Lighting. He’s produced seven original cast recordings and earned Grammy nominations for The Drowsy Chaperone and Something Rotten!.

Gilbert Bolden III (he/him)
Gilbert Bolden III, a soloist with New York City Ballet, began dancing in Las Vegas at age 9. His ballet journey started at Idyllwild Arts Academy and The Rock School, followed by the School of American Ballet. Joining New York City Ballet in 2017, he advanced to soloist in 2023, originating roles in works by Silas Farley, Justin Peck and Gianna Reisen. Known for his choreography’s musicality and emotional depth, he has created pieces for various ballet companies and directed two dance films. Bolden’s work explores profound connections, revealing the heart and soul of dancers and their artistry. @dancerdude56
India Bradley (she/her)
India Bradley, a member of New York City Ballet’s corps de ballet, hails from Detroit. She began training at age 4 at The Link School of the Arts in Troy, MI, and later studied at the Academy of Russian Classical Ballet. Bradley attended Dance Theatre of Harlem’s summer program in 2012 and joined its Professional Training Program under Andrea Long. She trained at the School of American Ballet in 2014 and became a New York City Ballet apprentice in 2017, joining the corps de ballet in 2018, performing a featured role in Balanchine’s The Nutcracker as an apprentice. @indiabradleyy
Jules Mabie (he/him)
Jules Mabie grew up in West Palm Beach, FL, under the ballet training of Chelsea Nasby at Ballet East. He joined the New York City Ballet in November 2018 and was promoted to soloist in June 2024. @julesmabie
Mira Nadon (she/her)
Born in Boston, Mira Nadon trained at Inland Pacific Ballet Academy in California and attended the School of American Ballet summer courses before joining full time in 2015. She became an apprentice with New York City Ballet in November 2017, becoming a corps de ballet member in November 2018. Promoted to soloist in January 2022 and principal in February 2023, Nadon has guested at the Vail Dance Festival and Nantucket Atheneum Dance Festival and performed with Ballet Collective. She received the 2021 Clive Barnes Award and the 2022 Princess Grace Award. @mira_nadon

Keerati Jinakunwiphat (she/her)
Keerati Jinakunwiphat, from Chicago, earned her BFA from SUNY Purchase and the Adopt-a-Dancer Scholarship. She studied at Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, San Francisco Conservatory of Dance and Springboard Danse Montreal. Working with A.I.M by Kyle Abraham since 2016, she’s choreographed for Evanston Dance Ensemble, Martha Graham School and more. She was named to Dance Magazine’s “25 to Watch” in 2021 and she became the first Asian American woman to choreograph for New York City Ballet in 2023. A 2024 Artist in Residence at Baryshnikov Arts Center, Jinakunwiphat received the Jadin Wong Fellowship Artist of Exceptional Merit and a 2023 Princess Grace Award in choreography.
Jinakunwiphat’s Interstate will also be performed at Gold Coast Dance Festival and Asbury Park Dance Festival later this summer.

Amanda Smith (she/her)
Amanda Smith, born in Orange County, CA, began dancing at age 3 with California Dance Academy, focusing on ballet, tap, jazz and hip-hop. Smith earned her BFA from SUNY Purchase and studied in Spain with Dance New York International Dance Festival. Joining Charlotte Ballet’s 2nd company in 2012, she was promoted to the 1st company, dancing diverse roles and collaborating with Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux, Patricia McBride, Dwight Rhoden, among others. Smith joined New York Theatre Ballet in 2016 under Diana Byer. Akira Uchida (he/they)
Based in New York City, Akira Uchida is a dancer, choreographer, creative director and teacher. Originally from Ottawa, Canada, he has collaborated with fashion brands such as Juicy Couture, Lu’u Dan, Nike, Private Policy, Puma and Reebok. Uchida has choreographed for musicians including HAAi, Leon Vynehall, Photay, Saint Levant and Flyana Boss. His work has been featured at events like the Battery Dance Festival, Capezio Ace Awards and Fire Island Dance Festival. Uchida has created pieces for institutions like the CLI Conservatory, Clyfford Still Museum, Flight Path Dance Project and Joffrey Ballet School. He teaches at The Juilliard School and serves on the faculty of JUMP Dance Convention. Committed to mentoring young BIPOC dancers, Uchida is a board member at Share the Movement, a nonprofit supporting and providing opportunities for young artists. @akirauchida
Lavy Cavaliere (he/they)
Lavy Cavaliere is a gender-queer, New York City-based choreographic dance artist. Graduating with their BFA in dance from Marymount Manhattan College, their performance credits include works by Kyle Abraham, Jenn Freeman, Andrea Miller and Nicole Von Arx. They are the founder of VERBAL ANIMAL, a cohort of queer multidisciplinary collaborators. @xlavvvy
DaMond LeMonte (he/him)
DaMond LeMonte Garner, a native of Charlotte, NC, earned his BFA in Dance from Point Park University. He expanded his training through programs like Springboard Danse Montreal and NWDP’s LAUNCH. Garner joined METdance in Houston, dancing pieces by Kyle Abraham and others. In NYC, he danced with Parsons Dance Company and guested with The Francesca Harper Project and Yin Yue Dance Company. Daniel Santiago is a versatile freelance artist based in New York City. He earned his BFA in Commercial Dance from Pace University in 2019 and is currently studying at the Institute of Core Energetics to deepen his somatic psychology understanding. Lucy Vallely, a dancer and choreographer based in New York City, hails from Long Beach, CA. She began her professional career at age 11 and has performed on Dancing with the Stars, The Ellen Show, and for artists like Ariana Grande and Tate McRae. Vallely choreographs and teaches globally and was featured on the cover of Dance Spirit Magazine for her freelance work. Billy Griffin (he/him)
Billy Griffin, a New York City-based artist, was featured as the lead in Al Blackstone’s “Weekend ’76” at Fire Island Dance Festival in 2019. His extensive choreography credits include restaging As You Like It for Shakespeare in the Park with The Public Theater, national tours of Friends! The Musical Parody, Off-Broadway’s Matthew McConaughey vs. The Devil, and events such as Broadway Bares and Red Bucket Follies. As a performer, Griffin has toured nationally with Mary Poppins, White Christmas and Young Frankenstein. He teaches at NYU’s New Studio on Broadway, Steps on Broadway and Broadway Dance Center, and holds a BFA from New York University Tisch School of the Arts. Catherine Hurlin, born in New York City, is a celebrated principal ballerina at American Ballet Theatre. Her repertoire includes iconic roles like Kitri in Don Quixote, Odette/Odile in Swan Lake and Juliet in Romeo and Juliet. Known for her technical prowess and dramatic flair, she has also excelled in contemporary works by choreographers such as Alexei Ratmansky, Twyla Tharp and Christopher Wheeldon. Lauren Lovette embodies the seamless integration of dance and choreography with her work commissioned and performed by esteemed companies like American Ballet Theatre, Paul Taylor Dance Company and New York City Ballet. Beginning her choreographic journey at the School of American Ballet, she quickly progressed to creating works for the New York Choreographic Institute and NYCB’s Fall Fashion Gala. Lee Duveneck grew up in Arlington, TX, where he trained with Anne Oswalt and Gwen Price. He served as rehearsal assistant for Paul Taylor American Modern Dance “Taylor Company Commissions” choreographer Lila York when she created Continuum in 2016. Devon Louis hails from Washington, DC, and is a graduate of Duke Ellington School of the Arts. He attended the Ailey School as a recipient of the Oprah Winfrey Scholarship and furthered his dance education at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival under the direction of Milton Myers. Louis has performed works by Alvin Ailey, Ronald K. Brown and more. He has also performed as a member of Ballet Hispanico’s junior company, BHdos; The Metropolitan Opera; and Nimbus Dance Works. John Harnage, a Miami native, trained at the Miami City Ballet School and New World School of the Arts. Hailing from New Haven, CT, Shawn Lesniak began dancing at the age of 7. For most of his youth, Lesniak trained in various dance techniques including ballet, jazz, modern and tap, and he danced competitively for more than a decade. He continued his training at The Ailey School and Point Park University. He has toured both internationally and domestically as a member of Parsons Dance. Jake Vincent was born in Atlantic City and grew up in Flemington, NJ. Austin Kelly, originally from Overland Park, KS, began dancing at Jody Phillips Dance Company. He later graduated summa cum laude from the University of Hartford’s The Hartt School in 2021 with a BA in Performing Arts Management, minoring in Dance Performance and Business Management. He has performed works by August Bournonville, José Limón, Lar Lubovitch, Stephen Pier and Paul Taylor. Kenny Corrigan, originally from Southwick, MA, earned his BFA from Point Park University. He’s performed in productions including An American in Paris, Carmen, Carousel, Queen of The Night, Rock the Ballet and Rasta Thomas’ Romeo and Juliet. Corrigan has also appeared on America’s Got Talent, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Saturday Night Live and more. He joined the Paul Taylor Dance Company in 2022.

Caleb Teicher
Caleb Teicher is a New York City-based choreographer and performer specializing in musically driven dance traditions and interdisciplinary work. They’ve collaborated onstage and in the recording studio with celebrated music artists including Ben Folds, Regina Spektor, Eyal Vilner Big Band, Conrad Tao, Chris Celiz, Nic Gareiss, AJR and many others. Teicher’s concert dance work has been commissioned and presented at prestigious venues including The Joyce Theater, New York City Center, Works & Process at the Guggenheim, The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival and Lincoln Center. Teicher is an artist in residence at the American Tap Dance Foundation and the recipient of a 2019 New York City Center Choreographic Fellowship, a 2019 Harkness Promise Award, a 2019 NEFA National Dance Project Production Grant and two Bessie Awards. Nathan Bugh
Nathan Bugh is one of the world’s leading exponents of Lindy Hop and vernacular jazz dance. His onstage performances include Carnegie Hall (Swing Swing Swing with New York Pops), The Apollo Theater (Swingin’ Frankie’s Way) and Jacob’s Pillow (Earthbeat!, More Forever, SW!NG OUT). He co-choreographed Joyce Theater Productions’ SW!NG OUT and the Gibney commission Meet Ella, both under the direction of Caleb Teicher. An avid social dancer since the late 1990s, Bugh has won many swing contests. He has taught the Columbia University Swing Club since 2006 and is on the dance faculty at Marymount Manhattan College.
Gaby Cook
Gaby Cool is an esteemed, active professional in the global Lindy Hop community. For nearly 20 years, she has established her career performing and teaching for major swing dance festivals worldwide. She performed with The Joyce’s debut SW!NG OUT cast. As a choreographer, her work has been featured at the Guggenheim Works & Process, Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, Jacob’s Pillow’s Inside/Out Series and Lincoln Center’s Midsummer Night Swing. Laura Glaess
Laura Glaess has been an influential voice in Lindy Hop competition, performance and education for the past 20 years. She has won countless awards and acknowledgments at international competitions and has taught at festivals in 22 countries spanning 5 continents. Her YouTube channel dedicated to Lindy Hop history, vocabulary, partnering and body movement is one of the most popular and influential in the scene.
AJ Howard
AJ Howard brings a unique style and energy to the Lindy Hop community. Getting introduced to the world of Lindy Hop at the age of 19, he burst onto the scene in 2016, winning competitions throughout the U.S. Competing at international events, Howard became well-known for his generous use of aerials paired with his energetic dancing. He’s also had the privilege to spread his love of dance through teaching at Lindy Hop events in the U.S., on a Carnival Cruise ship and around Europe.
Jennifer Nicole Jones
Jennifer Nicole Jones is a New York City-based dancer. Originally from Akron, OH, she received a BFA in Dance Performance from Wright State University while performing with Dayton Contemporary Dance Company. Jones has performed in many regional and Off-Broadway productions.
Akemi Kinukawa
Akemi Kinukawa is originally from Japan where she didn’t have any chance to explore the art of social dancing. When she was welcomed into the Lindy Hop dance community in Washington, D.C., her life changed dramatically. She is passionate about sharing social dancing with children. She also works as a Lindy Hop choreographer and instructor. Her work, from dance pieces to dance theater, champions Lindy Hop’s spirit by educating on its history and cultural context, furthering the legacy of inclusivity. Highlights of her career include performing at the opening night of Lincoln Center’s Midsummer Night Swing in 2017 and with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis in 2016.
Brian Lawton
Brian Lawton is a dancer, instructor, choreographer and director. He has an eclectic background in ballet, jaz and modern as well as Latin and ballroom dances with a specialty in the vernacular jazz dances of the 1920s-1940s. Lawton has performed on Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Shakespeare in the Park’s Comedy of Errors, with the Red Hot Chili Peppers at Madison Square Garden and in their recent music video “Go Robot,” and Swing! at Gateway Playhouse. He was the choreographer and resident director of the A Charlie Brown Christmas national tour and a resident choreographer for Norwegian Cruise Line. briantlawton.com
