Capital District Arts Initiative
The Capital District Arts Initiative is based in Albany, NY, and was founded by brother-sister team Corey John Snide and Jenna Snide. As Albany natives, the Snides began the initiative with a goal to contribute to the ever-growing arts ecology in upstate New York through arts education, community outreach and professional development. @cdartsinitiative
Gianna Goldey (she/her)
Gianna Goldey grew up in Troy, NY, and has been dancing since she was two. Along with dancing, Goldey loves to perform musically. She danced and choreographed with the Albany Empire Dance Team before attending SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance. She now teaches in the area.Rachale Mullally (she/her)
Rachale Mullally has studied dance since the age of four in upstate New York. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Theater at AMDA Los Angeles. She feels extremely inspired to have the opportunity to continue sharing her art and what she’s learned to the generations of dancers to come.Corey John Snide (he/him)
A native to upstate New York, Snide grew up dancing in Albany and went on to have an international career as a triple threat performing, creative, and teaching artists. Jenna Snide was born in Albany, NY,, and began dancing at the age of three. She trained in tap, jazz, ballet, hip-hop, contemporary and more before earning her degree from SUNY University at Albany in business administration and marketing. In 2020, she co-founded the Capital District Arts Initiative with her brother Corey. She continues to use her degree along with her dance training to serve as a teacher and the initiative’s business and marketing manager. @jennamarieesnide

Alison Cook Beatty Dance
Alison Cook Beatty Dance is a NYC-based nonprofit modern dance company founded in 2012 by artistic director and choreographer Alison Cook-Beatty. Having recently celebrated its 10th anniversary, and with growing multi-organizational grant support and commissioned works, the company continues to tour and perform its dynamic repertoire to critical acclaim throughout the United States.
Jacob Blank (he/him)
Jacob Blank, graduate of the Ailey/Fordham Bachelor of Fine Arts program, has performed in works created by Alvin Ailey, Robert Battle, Fredrick Earl Mosley, Pedro Ruiz, Darshan Singh Bhuller, Helen Simoneau and Ethan Colangelo, and has danced in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, at New York City Center and at Lincoln Center. Originally from British Columbia, Canada, Madelaine Burnett graduated from Alvin Ailey’s scholarship program. She then performed for Graham2, holding many leading roles. Emily Masia graduated from the Ailey/Fordham Bachelor of Fine Arts Program. She received additional training at Jacob’s Pillow and Orsolina28. Masia demonstrates for Milton Myers for Horton at The Juilliard School and Steps on Broadway. Tomislav Nevistic is from Zagreb, Croatia, where he began his training in the School of Contemporary Dance Ana Maletic focusing on Laban technique. In 2015 he received The Oscar for Knowledge in dance from the Agency for Education under the auspices of the president of the Republic of Croatia and the Croatian Parliament. After moving to New York, Nevistic graduated from The Ailey School and Martha Graham School, and performed and toured as a company member for Alison Cook Beatty Dance, Ziel Dance Theater, Graham II, iDance Ministry, Kritya Dance and choreographed for Mare Nostrum Elements. @tomyyslavPayton Primer (she/her)
Payton Primer is from Dallas, where she trained at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. In her senior year, Primer was named a 2018 winner in contemporary/modern dance by the National YoungArts Foundation. Justin Rainey, from Fayetteville, AR, attended the University of Oklahoma where he performed works by George Balanchine, Alejandro Cerrudo, Merce Cunningham, Austin Hartel and Tommie-Waheed Evans. Rainey has worked with Dance Kaleidoscope, Paul Taylor Dance Company, Nimbus and Site Specific Dance. @raineytimes

Doug Varone (he/him)
Award-winning and internationally renowned choreographer Doug Varone has created a body of work over the past 35 years that explores the blurred lines between human movement and dancerly prowess. When he is not making dances or touring around the globe with his NYC-based company, he lives in a log cabin in Accord, NY, with his partner and his rescue dog, Moose.

Courtney Barth is originally from Las Vegas. Now based out of Brooklyn, she is a graduate of SUNY Purchase. They have worked with Kensaku Shinohara, Shannon Gillen and Loni Landon. They are currently a company member with Doug Varone and Dancers and 2nd Best Dance Company. @Cnbarth
Ryan Yamauchi (he/him)
Ryan Yamauchi trained at the Mid-Pacific Institute School of the Arts and received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from SUNY Purchase. He has danced with 2nd Best Dance Company, Loni Landon Dance Projects, NVA & Guests and the Santa Fe Opera. Yamauchi is currently a dancer and rehearsal director for Doug Varone and Dancers.

Reed Luplau (he/him)
Born in Perth, Australia, Reed Luplau is a graduate of The Australian Ballet School. His choreographic accomplishments include When We Touch with music by LP; Phish Live at Madison Square Garden; for Disney Cruise Line: Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Aladdin and Frozen Spectacular; and the film Places, Please. He’s danced with The Australian Ballet, Sydney Dance Company, Sydney Opera House and West Australian Ballet. Luplau also has appeared on Broadway in Moulin Rouge! The Musical, Natasha, Pierre and The Great Comet of 1812 and Fiddler on the Roof. @reedluplau
Gabriel Hyman (he/him)
Gabriel Hyman began his dance training in Wilmington, DE, and later graduated from the Governor’s School for the Arts in Norfolk, VA. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance with honors from The Ailey School/Fordham University as a Bill and Melinda Gates Millennium Scholar and a Glorya Kaufman Dance Scholar. He’s been in the original Broadway casts of Bob Fosse’s Dancin’ and King Kong and the national tour of Hamilton. Television appearances include the Tony Awards, Super Bowl LV Halftime Show with The Weeknd and Pose.

Fadi J Khoury (he/him)
Fadi J Khoury, artistic director of FJK Dance, was born in Iraq and raised in Lebanon. He brings his Middle Eastern voice through choreography in a cross-cultural dialogue, where visual art meets contemporary dance in community outreach and performances. He is a resident artist at NYC Health + Hospitals focusing on mental health and wellness. @fadijkhoury @fjkdance

Holly Curran (she/her)
Holly Curran is a choreographer, performer and artist living between New York City and southern Oregon. As an emerging choreographer Curran has been commissioned to create new works for Youth America Grand Prix, Columbia University and the Lake Tahoe Dance Festival. Her work bridges classical ballet, contemporary dance and improvisation and investigates how deep physicality can result in narrative and emotion.
Dwayne Brown (he/him)
Dwayne Brown is a native New Yorker. He trained at The Ailey School, The School of American Ballet and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Vassar College. His credits include: The Metropolitan Opera, San Francisco Opera, The Kennedy Center, Lyric Opera Chicago, Carnegie Hall; At Home With Amy Sedaris, The Get Down, NYC Summer and Great Performances at The Met; Recent credits include New York Fashion Week for Rowing Blazers and the film She Came To Me, directed by Rebecca Miller. @dwayne.blivin
Amber Neff (she/her)
Nominated by Pointe magazine for standout performance of 2022, Amber Neff is an independent artist based in New York. She has performed featured roles for New Chamber Ballet, The Suzanne Farrell Ballet, Claudia Schreier & Company, Emery LeCrone DANCE and Intermezzo Dance Company, and was a member of Boston Ballet and Richmond Ballet. Neff received her training at The Dance Design School, the HARID Conservatory and the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School at American Ballet Theater. @amberjneff

EMERGE125 is a Black female-led dance hub, operating in Harlem and the Adirondacks, connecting audiences worldwide. Setting new dancer care standards, fostering cross-disciplinary collaborations and using movement for community building, EMERGE125 redefines modern dance’s reach and purpose. Embracing the 21st century, EMERGE125 makes dance accessible and relatable across demographics.

Alisa Gregory is a founding company dancer with EMERGE125 and in her fourth season with the company. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in dance from George Mason University and has danced professionally in over 24 dance productions and films. Madelyn LaLonde graduated from SUNY at Purchase College in 2018 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance along with a minor in Arts Management. Alyssa Manginaro, from Queens, NY, attended LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts. She continued her education at Adelphi University and graduated summa cum laude in December 2020 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance. Caitlyn Morgan graduated from the University of California Irvine with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance performance and bachelor’s in education sciences. She has performed at numerous venues including the Flea Theater, Chelsea Factory and the Delacorte Theater. Erik Osterkil is a dancer and choreographer from Fort Wayne, IN. Osterkil holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance composition from SUNY Purchase College. Osterkil has performed in works by Tiffany Rea-Fisher, José Limón, Jerome Robbins, Norbert De La Cruz III, FLOCK and Doug Varone. Tiffany Terry was born in Fuquay- Varina, N.C., graduated from East Carolina University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance performance and choreography along with a minor in disability studies. While attending East Carolina she performed in mainstage productions, performed choreography under Shay Kuebler and Mark Dendy at American Dance Festival’s Footprints and Hot Summer Pop- Ups. She also trained at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London and The Crystal Pite/Kidd Pivot workshop with repertoire taught by Cindy Salgado and hosted by STRUT Dance in Perth, Australia. @officialmisstiffff

The Verdon Fosse Legacy
Gwen Verdon was a four-time Tony Award-winning dancer and actor who created some of Broadway’s most iconic roles in such shows as Damn Yankees, Sweet Charity and Chicago. Bob Fosse was one of the most celebrated and influential choreographers of the 20th century. He remains the only person to win Oscar, Tony and Emmy Awards in the same year. The Verdon Fosse Legacy’s mission is to promote, preserve and protect the artistic and intellectual property of Bob Fosse and Gwen Verdon, including the copyrights in the dances and the trademark rights in the names Bob Fosse and Fosse. Parsons Dance
Parsons Dance was founded in 1985 by Artistic Director David Parsons and Tony Award-winning lighting designer Howell Binkley. The company performs works selected from repertory created by Parsons and commissions new dances from established and emerging choreographers. Parsons Dance provides enriching experiences through education and outreach programs, post-show discussions, open rehearsals, studio showcases, video workshops, open company classes, summer workshops for pre-professional dancers, and in-school workshops for public school students. All these activities are driven by the vision of Parsons, who combines his choreographic gifts and talent for training dancers with a real passion for the art form. @parsonsdance
Zoey Anderson (she/her)
Zoey Anderson is from Utah, where she trained at Center Stage Performing Arts Studio. In 2015, she graduated cum laude from Marymount Manhattan College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in ballet. The same year, she joined Parsons Dance. Anderson was nominated for the 2018 Outstanding Performer Bessie Award and received the 2019 Clive Barnes Dance Artist Award. Joseph Cyranski began dancing at the age of eight in New Baltimore, MO, his hometown. After graduating from high school, he went on to study dance at Marymount Manhattan College, where he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2020. Justine Delius was born and raised in a Paris suburb, where she trained in ballet and jazz before attending the Conservatory National of Paris in 2017. She appeared in Paris with MIXITY, the music hall cabaret sensation. In 2021, Delius arrived in New York to study at The Ailey School. Nick Fearon began dancing in San Antonio, his hometown, and went on to earn his Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance from Point Park University, where he danced with Pittsburgh’s Texture Contemporary Ballet. Megan Garcia trained at Progressions Performing Arts in Spring, TX, before graduating summa cum laude from the University of Arizona in 2019 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance. Joanne Hwang was born and raised in Sydney, Australia, and graduated from Point Park University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance and a minor in musical theater. While at Point Park, she had the honor of working with and performing works by Twyla Tharp, Robyn Mineko Williams, Martha Graham, Norbert De La Cruz III and others. Téa Pérez is from Dallas where she trained and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. In 2021, she graduated from The Ailey School/Fordham University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance. Brooklyn native Luke Romanzi graduated from the LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts. As a dancer in Rock the Ballet, a contemporary ballet company, he was featured on Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance and HBO’s Random Acts of Flyness. He was accepted into the Young Choreographers Festival, held at NYC’s Symphony Space. @lukeromanzi
