Below are several examples of suggested bequest wording that you may share with your legal counsel if you would like to make a gift to Dancers Responding to AIDS through your will or living trust. Thank you for considering including DRA in your estate plans. Dancers Responding to AIDS is a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Bequest of Specific Amount

“I give, devise, and bequeath $___________to Dancers Responding to AIDS, a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Tax I.D. 13-3458820. Dancers Responding to AIDS may be contacted at 212.840.0770, ext. 262, or 165 West 46th Street, Suite 1300, New York, NY 10036.”

 

Bequest of Remainder of Estate

“I give, devise, and bequeath to Dancers Responding to AIDS, a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Tax I.D. 13-3458820, all [or state the fraction or percentage] of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate, both real and personal. Dancers Responding to AIDS may be contacted at 212.840.0770, ext. 262, or 165 West 46th Street, Suite 1300, New York, NY 10036.”

Bequest of Life Insurance Policy

“I hereby name Dancers Responding to AIDS, a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, as the owner and beneficiary of my ______ (Insurance Company), Policy #______, with a face value of ______ (dollars). I designate that upon my death, the proceeds will be distributed to Dancers Responding to AIDS, New York, New York, for its general purposes.”

Bequest of Retirement Plan

As Primary Beneficiary:

“The beneficiary of the entire amount in the plan upon my death is Dancers Responding to AIDS, a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, for its general purposes.”

As Contingent Beneficiary:

“The beneficiary is my spouse as long as they survive me. The beneficiary if my spouse does not survive me, or of any portion thereof that my spouse may disclaim, is Dancers Responding to AIDS, a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, for its general purposes.”
