Below are several examples of suggested bequest wording that you may share with your legal counsel if you would like to make a gift to Dancers Responding to AIDS through your will or living trust. Bequest of Life Insurance Policy

“I hereby name Dancers Responding to AIDS, a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, as the owner and beneficiary of my ______ (Insurance Company), Policy #______, with a face value of ______ (dollars). I designate that upon my death, the proceeds will be distributed to Dancers Responding to AIDS, New York, New York, for its general purposes.”

Bequest of Retirement Plan

As Primary Beneficiary:

#FIDanceFriday | The bounds of ballet expanded on #FIDanceFriday | The bounds of ballet expanded on the Fire Island stage last summer in the world premiere of buzzworthy choreographer Keerati Jinakunwiphat’s (@thekeeratikid) "Interstate."

What began as a traditional balletic trio by Mario Gonzalez, Chalvar Monteiro (@chlvrmntro) and Amanda Smith (@theamandasmithh) transformed into a genre-defying exploration of the different pathways to freedom, set to music by Led Zeppelin.

Bolden was joined by @nycballet’s India Bradley (@indiabradleyy), Jules Mabie (@julesmabie) and Mira Nadon (@mira_nadon) – the first Asian American principal dancer in the company’s history – in an expansive and elegantly energetic ballet.

As we gear up for our 30th anniversary of #FIDance As we gear up for our 30th anniversary of #FIDance, we'd like to extend a special shout-out to Founding Director Emeritus @hernandocortezjr.

Hernando and Denise Roberts Hurlin – then students at @purchasedance and members of @paultaylordance – mobilized a group of dancers in 1991 to create Dancers Responding to AIDS.

Fire Island Dance Festival was Hernando's idea. He had a share in the Pines and thought it would be a great place for a fundraiser. He was right!

An ensemble of Alvin Ailey dancers – Patrick Coker (@pcoke), @shawn.cusseaux, Ashley Green (@awagreen98), Jacquelin Harris (@jacquelinh) and @hannahxrichardson – balanced grace and softness with Ailey’s signature athleticism in a flowing piece that echoed the brush of the Fire Island breeze.

Last summer, @abtofficial principal Catherine Hurl Last summer, @abtofficial principal Catherine Hurlin (@catehurlin) stunningly brought to life "The Dying Swan," a work that has been presented by some of the world’s most legendary ballerinas for more than a century.

The quiet desperation of the swan’s final moments were honored by Hurlin’s elegance and poise, as the crowd swelled in unison with the swan’s last breath.
